I absolutely LOVE finding a car that is in dire need of a proper photoshoot and hooking it up with one of our photographers. I first found Miguel’s G35 around the forums and posted it on canibeat around the end of January.
I ended up setting him up with Ben Schkade (Vegas) and the two met up in the city and shot this beauty properly. “I shoot with a canon 5dmkII and various prime lenses and this G35 shoot was done editorial style- all available light with a tripod for multiple and long exposures. Usually I bust out an entire studio with Profoto gear and a generator though.” – Ben Schkade
Ben is currently trying to have as much fun with photography in Las Vegas as humanly possible. He feels lucky enough to live in a city with amazing available light and thousands of crazy locations. Recently he just shot Premier Sportscar Service racing a GT3 Porsche at the largest Porsche rally in the world in Sebring, FL, a babe calendar for Zero Engineering Custom Motorcycles and a 500k+ exotics for Audi Henderson. “Life’s good. Every day I get emails asking me to shoot something I’ve never done before. What more could a photographer ask for?” If you have a beat worthy car and live in or around the Las Vegas area, get in contact with Ben!
Wheel specs: 18×9.5 +15 and 18×11 +17, wrapped in 225/40 and 245/40.
This beautiful athens blue G35 is Miguel’s daily scraper. Miguel bought the car and did what most of us first do; slap some basic bolt-ons and then go from there. After that Miguel went all out on wheels and bought some CCWS and a set of Stance LX’s to help the car sit nice and low. “I always wanted to be on CaniBeat & Hellaflush and the next thing I new.. my car was on there!”. Sadly Miguel is parting ways with his G35 but has something awesome in mind for his next project. YES, the CCWs are for sale. If you are interested feel free to email Miguel (SicktadeF@yahoo.com).

WOW loving the awning lights picture. It takes away from the car’s detail but I still like it. CCWs as usual are sick. Is the front fascia custom Lamborghini influenced or does someone actually make that?

As a photographer myself I’d love to see someone do a better job of photographing a car in Vegas with all of the surrounding lights. I can only imagine how difficult it must be! Ben certainly has his own style but I dig it and I thank him for taking the time to shoot this car for us!

Miguel & Cristian- you guys rock! We should do this more often. David, Mick, bahc- I totally agree with all of the criticism. You guys are dead on. Next shoot we’re gonna highlight all the detail, shape, and style of the car no matter where we end up shooting. It’s time to bust out ALL the gear.
