Last weekend I hooked up Rodolfo Lamaestra to shoot my good friend Steve Shine’s IS300. Steve picked up Rodolfo & they both headed out to downtown Leesburg to look for a location to shoot. They found an old cinema garage and decided to see what the roof top looked like. Unfortunately for Steve, the top was 4 levels up — which was a very painful experience because the whole under carriage scraped on every ramp up.
When they got to the top of the garage, they both couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day & location. “His car is absolutely dumped on Megan Racing Street LP Series Coil over with BBS RS’ in 17×9.5 (White centers) and tucked nicely”. We have shown countless times on canibeat that if your fitment and stance are on point, you can never go wrong with BBS RS’ on any ride.
Steve did subtle mods that count, such as 35% Tint, Altezza Z-Edition Grill, JDM Shorty Antenna, OEM 2003 Sport Design Headlights, JoeZ Intake & Blitz LM SUS Power Air Filter. Steve told me that he does have future plans on converting his RS into the Primo theme (Gold bolts & Red BBS center caps). I think that idea would definitely set the overall look off.

Steve’s car also has some quirky details like dice as the caps for his wheel stems & 1 million ‘Black Ice’ Air Fresheners in a spherical shape under his rear view mirror that adds that extra touch. Steve’s car really is the epitome of what “eye candy” is. This is not the last you will see of Steve Shines IS300 here on canibeat. Stay tuned…

Very nice. One question though. You said the wheels are 17×9.5. The lips are definitely bigger on the rear RSs. So is the barrel a smaller size in the rear than the barrel in the front wheels?

Dont forget the Primo theme as gold incorporated into the center cap as a ring. otherwise its just another set of played out RS’s with white centers.
Clean IS for sure Black Ice FTW!
