The Power of Dreams… the title only seemed fitting for this beautiful Honda and this crazy almost “dream like” mural behind the car. On every forum in every scene once in a blue moon a car comes along that has that combination of parts, that look, that could have only been inspired by some awesome dream…
Well I’m not sure if this vision came to Ontario native Caleb Wong in a day dream at work or some deep sleep, but wherever the inspiration came from I applaud him for creating what is definitely one of my new favorite 8th gen. Civic’s if not Honda’s all together.
When I was in the market for an 8th gen Si myself I wasn’t a huge fan of the US spec four door front end, and struggled enough with the idea of doing a JDM front end conversion on my old Integra let alone on a brand new Civic, so I opted for a coupe…
Well when I saw photos of Caleb’s Si first I sent him a message about having the car shot for a feature, then I began having regrets I didn’t get a four door myself. For those of you who aren’t Honda fanatics or aren’t as familiar with the 8th generation Civic, this is a USDM spec 4dr Civic Si that Caleb has done a JDM front and rear conversion on.
Engine/Transmission
Fujita Intake
T1R Power header
Toda Catback exhaust
Spoon 70mm TB
Ingalls ETD
Mugen Short shifter
Buddy Club Spec Condensor
J’s racing oil/rad cap
Type R Valve cover
What really separates this car though is Caleb didn’t stop with just the standard CTR front and rear, he went the extra mile and compiled a combination of J’s Racing and Mugen pieces that give the car a unique and aggressive look unlike any other Civic of its kind.
When you get over the beautiful body of this car you might notice it doesn’t stop there. Caleb has also improved the stance of the car with some fitting 18×9 SSR Type F’s and hiding behind them is a nice set of Endless 6-piston calipers.
Exterior
CTR Front End conversion
CTR side skirts
CTR Rear conversion
J’s Racing Type X Front lip
J’s Racing Type X Intake ducts
J’s Racing CF Rear Diffuser
Mugen Grille
Seibon Hood
Mugen Visors
Stupid front plate laws…
Suspension/Brakes
Skunk 2 Pro-c Coilovers
SPC Rear camber arms
Endless 6 piston BBK w/ Inch up rotor
Endless CC-Rg brake pads
Goodridge brake lines
CTR brake ducts
Wheels/tires
SSR Type F 18×9 +32
Yokohama Advan Neova AD08
I guess you could say it was no surprise that Caleb has also began dressing up what in my eyes is already a nice interior from the factory with some Bride buckets and Defi gauges.
Interior
Bride Gias / Kevlar shell w/ gradation cushion (driver)
Bride ERGO II w/ gradation cushion (passenger)
Buddy Club Seat rails
ARC shift knob
JDM Hazard switch button
Defi BF Oil temp gauge
Defi BF Oil Pressure gauge
Defi BF Water temp gauge
Defi Control Unit II
Caleb says “It’s definitely not complete yet. It was purchased in December of 2008 and its been a work in progress ever since. The body is pretty much going to stay the way it is and power mods are next on the list with possibly some more interior work in the future.”
Well I for one can’t wait to see what Caleb dreams up next!
Big thanks to Studio 2.8 Productions for the amazing photography!

I just had a question not to bash or anything like that cause thats a beautiful and well built car. I read the whole article and saw that it said it was a usdm 4 door si but seeing that it had canada tags I know in canada they sell the acura csx which is identical to the jdm civics.

makes a dubber want a honda…real bad.
August 5, 2010 at 5:31 am
@Johnathan…. ; If it was a csx the mirrors on the side would have side markers on them, the interior would be all acura vs being Honda and the front end is still not the same… I believe CTR is wider as well in the front. CTR rear is also very different from the csx rear. You are right though that its SIMILAR but not identical….
IN OTHER NOTES; to tease caleb…. IS THAT A MUGEN RR??? OOOOOOoooooo

SICK honda, not a big fan of this gen but this car is sick

He’s from Canada, I don’t get why he didn’t start off with a CSX as a base and mod that rather than going through all the work of swapping front ends and rears. End result is wicked regardless.
