When you think of a vehicle used for snow patrolling you think of a big burly SUV, sitting so high it makes you feel like you’re in the nose bleed section at a football game. Well Jani’s Civic says, “to hell” with SUV’s and shows that even a lowered, stanced and fitted car can have fun in the snow as well.

Of course Jani’s Civic didn’t start out slammed down in the snow looking like a winter sled. Purchased off a local buddy, he quickly got to work with a set of 17 inch Impul RS-3 wheels and an aggressive drop, but with the drop he went down a road that few travel in the Honda world. With a WRX already sitting static, he decided this EK just had to be bagged.

The fitment and stance of this EK was the biggest test for Jani and his Civic. He bagged it, added a camber kit, rear lower control arms and raised the strut towers; all of it with some custom work to make the stance and fitment perfect. With all of this work going into the suspension, this is when Jani realized that the Impul’s were just too big. He picked up a set of 15×9.5 BBS RS’s with a -13 offset—yeah, a negative 13 offset. This has left this Honda with an insane stance and Jani still wants to go lower, if you can believe it.

Even though the stance is the obvious head-turner on this car, he has also done work elsewhere. For instance, you have the flawless satin black finish, which has helped keep this Civic clean and simple – just the way this writer likes it. On the interior he has kept it all OEM except a custom headliner that ties in nicely with the overall feel of the car. With all the work done, Jani still has plans for the car in the near future that includes a front lip, exhaust, full stereo install, and maybe a rear lip… oh and he still wants to drop this car to where it will sit on the ground, literally.

I hope everyone takes notice of one of Finland’s sickest stanced and fitted EK’s as it’s out doing its patrol no matter what the weather is, making all those people with their big bad 4x4s look way down.
