Photography by KEI Mamiya & Tetsuya Yamaguchi & words by Chris Davis for Canibeat.com
USDM Jam is organized by Tetsuya Yamaguchi and is the largest USDM-style show in Japan, this time in it’s 8th incarnation. I have posted some USDM content before, but had not done full show coverage. This year Canibeat did a collaboration sticker with Tetsuya for the show, which you can spot in a few of the photos from this coverage. Tetsuya also runs YamazStore, so please visit.

Rolling in.. looks like everyone’s ready.

BMW Z4 on Work Meisters and some familiar looking stickers.

While this style did not necessarily originate in the United States, it seems that low VW’s are part of the USDM set in Japan.

I need to talk to Tetsuya about getting one of these shirts.

I wish I had a better shot of the wheels on this golf cart. SO bad ass!

Looks like it was a little cold here in April.

I’ve never seen an E46 on CE28′s before. Gorgeous!

I’m amazed these aren’t more popular here.

Who’d have guessed that pedobear drives a van?

This EM1 is very convincing, if I didn’t know better I would guess this was southern California.

I like how this is effectively a JDM impersonation of a US car with a JDM front end conversion. My brain hurts.

Frequent viewers of CiB will recognize this as Hasshy’s Lancer, from Shitamachi. This is, predictably, my favorite car of the show.

Note the California license plates for sale.

As an S14 owner, I am amazed at the wheel widths that Z33′s and V35′s can fit under stock fenders.

I wish I knew what color code this is. A Honda done right.
I believe this is Tetsuya’s DC2, second from right.

Sans the vinyl, I really like this.

Looks like serious interior work here.

An actual Japanese license plate!

I really like this thing, polished lips and all, which is usually a disqualifier. This is the stock bodied piggy people in the US *should* be building.

This makes me miss my old DB8.

I have nothing intelligent to say about this EF, but I dig it.

A better look at our USDM Jam sticker. Coming soon to the Canibeat store!

Lots of Euro wheels that I can’t identify.

Walking air fresheners! YamazStore sells Little Trees in Japan.

I really hope this car is on air.

BBS ubiquity, but on a CR-X Del Sol.

Z31 on….Daytons? Not something you see everyday.

These are so much better looking when they’re all one color. TE’s don’t hurt, of course.

I see a minitruck back there, can’t get much more USDM than a minitruck.

USDM Jam is a big diverse show with a little of everything.
Make sure to check out the rest of the coverage! You will NOT be let down (we promise).

I wouldn’t say minitruckin’ was completely USDM because Japan has been going hard on the minitruckin’ scene for a long ass time, but I guess it more or less originated here.
