VIP Lexus GS’s: Brothers with a Purpose
Every car is built for a different reason. They can be something daily driven or something that only catches fresh air on a perfect day. Then you have the option of going track, drift, or hard-parked low. The options seem to be limitless but these two brothers and their classy Lexus GS’s show that you can take a VIP style in two opposite directions. Adam Mao has taken his GS and built a daily driven and drifted machine where his older brother Ken Mao has gone with a clean weekend cruiser but both have kept that VIP feel.
For Adam, this is actually his second time having a car featured on Canibeat. Last year he brought us a sick S14 and now he has brought us his drift inspired VIP Lexus. This GS is not only daily-driven but also has hit up events like the Fatlace Classik, Fatlace Word Up, Thunder Hill and much more. He’s taken this from just another big sedan to a tweaked banshee that slides in ways a VIP sedan shouldn’t and if that doesn’t make you smile I don’t know what will.
Adam’s big bro Ken has gone for a VIP GS that is all class. For Ken’s build to happen, he had to make a sacrifice. That sacrifice was that he had to sell his 240sx and XB in order to build the GS he wanted. That yielded a clean GS that sports a +1 Ing body kit that has been custom fit for this 2008 as they don’t even make that kit for a Lexus newer than 2008. To be this clean and also have a style that sets you apart takes some work and Ken’s work has been well worth it.
