Dark as the Night: Chazz Hobson’s Sleek & Sexy S2000

When you go to meets, flip through your favorite publication, or click to your favorite car site, you come across cars of all makes and models trying to grab attention by pairing their cars with wild colors whether it be their wheels or other exterior mods. Occasionally though, you find a car that seems to reach out and grab your eyes but won’t have a single “loud” color draped on it. Instead they went for a clean and sleek look and the end product becomes a car that has had attention paid to it because of the work that has gone through out the car not because it has neon green wheels shoved under it. Enter Chazz Hobster and his Honda S2000 that has been built to be sleek, sexy and just the way he wants it.

I first came across Chazz’s S2K when it was closer to stock form on a local forum. The stance scene is still pretty small where we both live so of course Chazz met some resistance when his build started. The great thing about Chazz and his car is that he built this car just how he wanted it no matter how many nay-sayers there were. As the car sits, it’s definitely an eye catcher even though its blacked out like Batman should be rockin’ it around Gotham City.

Not only does Chazz own a pretty sick S2K that is stanced out in an area where stance is ridiculed about as much as people ridicule the Government but he’s also a very active photographer. The cool thing about Chazz is that he shooting pretty much every weekend and all weekend plus some during the week and that is all on top of a normal day job. Every meet I went to last show season he was at, his black S2K usually lurking off to the side and I’d see him walking around every time with camera in hand.

Being someone that works on his trade quite a bit, I always love seeing someone out there also working to support the scene and also work to improve all the time. When talking about this very feature with Chazz he said, “The only thing that excites me more than getting a CIB feature is getting a CIB “job”.” We at Canibeat love supporting the scene no matter what coast you are on or if you are in a big city or small town you can’t find on a map.

In between all the shooting Chazz has been doing, he also has worked up a long to-do list for his S2000 for 2012 so keep an eye out even more from Chazz behind the camera and in front of the camera as it covers his progress.
