All in the Details: Josh Rau’s Daily Used & Slammed Chevy

For me what makes a car truly stand out isn’t the fact that it has some rare bumper or some fancy wheels. Instead it is those minor items that you will miss on your first glance or first time around a car. But as you make your second passing you notice these small details that reflect the owner’s personal style or taste. Anyone can bolt on a bumper or slap on wheels but those personal touches make a car, no matter what chassis stand out from the pack.

Josh Rau’s 72 Chevy C10 is a prime example from the detail-oriented. He picked up this C10 for a daily beater, “something that I could drive and not care if it got any scratches or dents”. But instead of just driving the truck in its plain ole stock style he transformed it into a bad ass truck that would leave people wanting more but could still be used the way a truck should be.

This tough Chevy features old school pin-striping, Kandy Red accents and my favorite – red headlights inspired by The Grave Digger. To top it off, this Chevy is slammed with the help of a body drop, a channeled cab, and suspension modifications. Add it all together, and you get a stand-out truck that does more than go through the motions.

Josh would like to thanks: “Josh Poston at Paintrix and Jacob Smith at Rye’s Speed Shop and my Fiancée for dealing with the long nights that were put into this truck.”
