Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 (Tokyo, Japan): Part 1
Tokyo Auto Salon is the largest custom car show in Japan. This year it was held on the 11th-13th of January at Makuhari-Messe, Chiba Pref, in Japan. 2013 was a pivotal year as the event had the highest attendance ever to date. Close to 282,659 people came to the Makuhari-Messe during the three days. The show had 802 customized cars & 452 booths.
In recent years, Japan has seen an increase of modified mini-vans & Subaru wagons that were presented at Tokyo Auto Salon this year. Furthermore, popular tuning manufacturers presented their latest creations for the 2013 season. Race cars, tuners, over the top customs and VIP style cars dominated the Tokyo Auto Salon. The Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ/Scion FRS had a very strong presence at this years event which was also the case at the 2012 SEMA convention in VEGAS. Each year the after-market parts manufacturers, custom shops, care manufacturers, automotive businesses, and automotive vocational schools come out to display and spectate this lustrous event. In addition, there is also live entertainment. Top musicians from around the world and talk shows hosting famous drivers and celebrities can be seen at this must go to event. Tokyo Auto Salon always sets a high standard in the performance and custom modification market for the rest of the world to follow.
