NW-Built set out to provide an outlet where all types of cars and people could collaborate in one place to expose the diversity of the region. Golden Gardens, WA became the place where over 1200 cars and even more enthusiasts joined together to kick back, have a great time and enjoy the Pacific Northwest automotive scene & atmosphere. Enjoy guys!
A few months ago I had the chance to shoot some Nissans while hanging out at Baus Auto. They specialize on Nissans and Infiniti aftermarket bumpers and parts. The following cars have been worked on in some way or another by Baus Auto. Enjoy guys. Read More
This week we bring you a couple shots from Canibeat photographer Marin Nelson of Joe Schneider’s EK. Marin took these photos at Joe’s shop Backyard Designs Co. in Orange, CA for a recent feature in one of our favorite publications, Fast Car Magazine. Joe’s car may not have the most rare high end parts but we think a lot of people can relate to this grassroots build. Be sure to pick up the March Civic Special issue of Fast Car on stands now with Joe’s car on the cover to see more from this feature!
It’s always great when I have the chance to team up with a fellow Canibeat member. Around 7 months ago I received a call from Kenny Cano telling me he was going to be in Southern California soon and he wanted to shoot alongside me. He would do the video while I would do the photos. Sure enough a month after that we met up at LTBMW and did a full day shoot. Now fast forward to February 2012, the video is finally edited and the photos are now released. Coincidentally, LTBMW is having a meet on March 10 and everyone is invited. So if you are interested, check out the rest of the post for more information.
We all know the feeling. Keeping ourselves entertained while we wait for parts to come in to continue with our build. Muhammad Hamidi took this photo and we just had to share it. Look at those Carline NW6 and CM6s.. so beautiful.! Enjoy guys.
Over the past couple of years, Wekfest has become one of the most popular car show tours in the country. What some of you don’t know is that the first Wekfest event was held in San Francisco in a parking garage. As the years have gone by and the show has expanded to other parts of the country, the San Francisco event has remained the largest and most anticipated event of the year! This year was bigger and better than ever before with a variety of cars from all parts of the spectrum including, stanced cars, track-ready, domestics, and everything in between. Nothing was left behind, which is why people from all over the world travel to California to attend this event. We had friends from the Midwest, East Coast, Canada, and even Japan fly in. I personally drove 7 hours to be at this show and by the time the show started, I was running on less than 16 hours of sleep in 3 days. Although I was lacking in sleep, my coverage wasn’t. Read More
Saturday morning my father and I made the eleven hour drive down to San Fransisco to meet up with the rest of the Canibeat team. With my Canon 5D ready to roll I wasn’t sure what to expect. WekFest turned out to be an incredible show. I was completely blown away by the thousands of spectators and a never ending supply of beautiful cars to point a camera at. This was one of the coolest shows I’ve been to and would urge any car enthusiast to attend.
I’ve been following Canibeat for some time now, so when the girls told me about this project and asked me to shoot I was all about it. Cherry, Lauren and I had been trying to plan a shoot but with me being in Chicago and them being 3hrs away the logistics didn’t always work out as a lot of my shooting is done last minute. My take on the project was that Canibeat wanted some snaps of these lovely ladies wearing their swag. So I figured I’d find a location and a prop car and we’d rock it out. The morning of the shoot our preferred (indoor) location fell through, but the girls were on their way and my prop car was good to go – I’ll take 2/3 any day.
This week we bring you a shot of Eric Penelow’s Boston Green e36 at First Class Fitment 2011. Just when we thought Eric’s car couldn’t get any better on the OZ Futura’s he switched it up and came out with a rare set of Cromodora splits in 2011. Eric is one of the founders of SoGood, and he is also one of the videographers responsible for this video from First Class Fitment video so check it out if you haven’t already!
