The slogan of “The Ultimate Driving Machine”, which BMW adopted over the years has been proven time and time again especially when it comes to the “M” branch of BMW. No matter the decade a BMW comes from, they are known for being clean and elegant but at the same time, when unleashed, they turn into a whole other beast. There’s something to be said about being able to turn an otherwise unnoticed daily driven grocery getter into a head-turning masterpiece at a car show. Ryan Knittel has achieved just that with his 2004 Subaru WRX wagon. What started off as a simple car purchase with a short list of future modifications, turned into a full-blown build with quite an exhausted list of “goodies”.
In 2013, Spring Fling Canada celebrated their 10th year as Canada’s official season-opening event for German car enthusiasts. The event took place on Sunday June 2rd, 2013 from 11am until 3pm. So what’s all the hype about? Spring Fling is a home-grown and family-oriented event so EVERYBODY is invited! Spring Fling wasn’t your run of the mill show. There were no trophies and no judging and that made the event just a chill get together on a bigger than average scale! And as always, Spring Fling runs RAIN or SHINE!
The event returned to the Hansa Haus again this year. Riding off the momentum from years past, Mississauga’s own German Canadian Club Hansa Haus was a fitting location for this prized event.

However since I can remember, Hawaii was hardly been known for bad ass cars! Within the past years ‘til this day, Hawaii has been on the rise in the car game and is finally being recognized as a key player in the import/euro tuning industry. After all there is more to Hawaii than just grass huts and beaches. Every so often, we get sick builds getting up on the major car sites coming out from the islands. I flew down to LA and spent the weekend with my buddy Matthew Ramos from Panda Feet Productions. It was great getting to chill with some of the Canibeat crew again and checking out the LA area together. Matthew and I double teamed each car with 5Dmk2s and a variety of lenses and tools. Players Show, now in its 7th year of existence is tearing the UK car scene to bits. Ran by two crazy men Carl Taylor and Jamie Mctoldridge with a don’t care attitude. These two are no strangers to show scene with a successful event held at an airfield in Essex later on in the season this year they wanted to put another date in the dairy.
Players classics! Why classic may you ask… well I think this was all down to the location. Held at Goodwood motor circuit, which to give you a little insider opened in 1948, the first single seat race for Graham Hill and was the very place that ended Stirling Moss’s career. It is with out a doubt a very special place in the history of motorsport and it is the first time that cars of this culture have every parked up on the Goodwood grass.
Southern California photographer and videographer Sam Ipman recently just wrapped up a photoshoot with Daniel Leung’s static and daily driven Subaru WRX STI Wagon. The two met up before hand to quickly plan the video and how things were going to go down and then they hit the streets of Los Angeles. Sam told us that “Daniel is a super chill guy from LA building his car with such a deep passion.” Enjoy this teaser video and expect the full photo feature and story to release soon.
