Event Coverage
The approach of winter time brings snow, cold weather, layers upon layers of clothes, and winter wheels; unless, of course, you live in Florida. Floridians have the benefit of marching on without consequence, driving their cars uninhibited by the storms and snow that keeps the rest of the East Coast locked up for these frigid few months. Two weekends ago was Winterfest 2012 and I am truly proud to say, this is a Florida grown meet. From last year at Route 46 to this year at the Tampa Executive Airport, the meet just becomes more impressive by the year. Watching the show fill up was a real treat; it gave the Florida scene a real jolt of life as the hanger and air strip filled up with some of The Sunshine State's finest. Canibeat, of course, was in the house to chill and see what the crew from I Love Driving Slow had to offer. And don't think this meet for adults only; ILDS had a special area for the kids too. The whole event surrounded a toy drive for the Toys 4 Tots foundation. All in all, the day was a success with around 1000 cars making an appearance at Winterfest. Read More

Fixx Fest is a show that always surprises me. Since it's inception, the show has not only grown but has become a tradition for many in Florida every November. This past installment was the ninth gathering of Euro enthusiasts to the Bradenton Motorsports Park, and with competitions like team tug of war and pumpkin pie eating contest, the tradition was alive and kicking. Once the pre-meet at CCW's facility was over on Friday night, it was time for the actual show the next morning. This year, Simply Clean 4 was hosted at the spacious and beautiful Destination Daytona. For those who have not been to Destination Daytona, it is pretty much a shopping center with hotels, restaurants, stores and a pavilion for events all in one. The Simply Clean Staff was anticipating multitudes of spectators throughout the day so Destination Daytona was the perfect venue to hold the masses. Read More

Simply Clean 4 Pre-Meet Hosted by CCW (Daytona, FL)
This past weekend I had the pleasure of flying down from Washington, DC to the sunshine state for Simply Clean 4 in Daytona. 2012 marked the fourth year the guys from Simply Clean have been putting on their event and the first year it has been held at Destination Daytona. Prior to this weekend I had never been to anything car related in Florida and I will say that it exceeded my expectations heavily. Dan and the guys over at Complete Custom Wheels (CCW) hosted this years pre-meet at their facility in Daytona and I made it a priority to be there while I was in town. Read More

ImportAlliance: Fall Meet 2012 (Nashville, TN)
Every year, car enthusiasts from all over the Midwest and East Coast make it a point to put Import Alliance Summer Meet in Nashville, Tennessee on their list of “must attend shows” of the year. It’s hard to find such a huge, comprehensive gathering of JDM, Euro, and Domestic vehicles anywhere else in the nation. Import Alliance’s Spring Meet (held in Atlanta) and Fall Meet (held in Nashville), however, are also creeping into those “must attend” lists as attendance has steadily grown for these events over the last few years and this Fall Meet was no different.
