The pleasure was all mine when I visited Union, New Jersey, and in particular the Kean University Campus. Coincidentally Kean University was also the home of this year’s Fresh MEET Summer Bash. Fresh Meet events are held to provide a safe and secure area designated for enthusiasts of all ages and communities to attend, where they can display their vehicle and share a common interest. But more importantly they’re held to provide the new generation a direction that can provide inspiration and the willingness to build some awesome vehicles. After a long trek from Canada I arrived to the venue the night prior. I stopped to go over some setup information with Rey Pegan before making my way to my hotel to rest up.
The East Coast Honda meet is an annual gathering of people who proudly represent vehicles notoriously badged with that famous “H.” These enthusiasts come together from up and down the east coast and some even make the trip across the country. Flocking together in convoys, many groups arrived to Richmond International Raceway rocking new wheel setups, new paint, bigger turbos, and even some crazier tucked engine bays. The meet brought everyone who loved Hondas together to enjoy the showcase of all sorts of builds. Regardless of the intense heat mother nature had brought upon the two day event, the gathering was a success. Enjoy the video coverage of the 2013 East Coast Honda Meet.
This was the 3rd year that Stancewars held their show at Bellevue Community College’s parking structure. The parking structure has an amazing view of the Seattle Skyline and with perfect weather one couldn’t ask for a better show. This was my first time attending the show and I was thoroughly impressed with the selection of cars that were in attendance. The top floor consisted of some of the vendors and the Top 100, which were cars that were carefully selected by the staff and the best of what the Pacific Northwest has to offer! The lower levels consisted of general entry cars and there were a huge variety of cars from people all around the PNW. This is not a show to be missed, make sure and check it out next year and enjoy our coverage!
The second annual European automotive show, Eurohangar, was once again a hit. Hosted during the last weekend in June in Holland, Michigan, the show’s location was beautiful. We started out at the pre-meet on Friday night then ended at the show on Saturday. If you missed out this year, be sure to look into going next year! Enjoy our video event coverage by Ethan Watson & Aaron Meeuwsen!
In 2013, Spring Fling Canada celebrated their 10th year as Canada’s official season-opening event for German car enthusiasts. The event took place on Sunday June 2rd, 2013 from 11am until 3pm. So what’s all the hype about? Spring Fling is a home-grown and family-oriented event so EVERYBODY is invited! Spring Fling wasn’t your run of the mill show. There were no trophies and no judging and that made the event just a chill get together on a bigger than average scale! And as always, Spring Fling runs RAIN or SHINE!
The event returned to the Hansa Haus again this year. Riding off the momentum from years past, Mississauga’s own German Canadian Club Hansa Haus was a fitting location for this prized event.
Mahalo! When you hear or think of Hawaii you usually think of a tropical vacation, palm trees, beautiful beaches, coconuts, hula dancing, or whatever your imagination comes up with. However since I can remember, Hawaii was hardly been known for bad ass cars! Within the past years ‘til this day, Hawaii has been on the rise in the car game and is finally being recognized as a key player in the import/euro tuning industry. After all there is more to Hawaii than just grass huts and beaches. Every so often, we get sick builds getting up on the major car sites coming out from the islands. Recently all the so called big dogs in the industry are now coming down to host bomb ass car shows to show the whole world what Hawaii has to offer! Read More
I flew down to LA and spent the weekend with my buddy Matthew Ramos from Panda Feet Productions. It was great getting to chill with some of the Canibeat crew again and checking out the LA area together. Matthew and I double teamed each car with 5Dmk2s and a variety of lenses and tools. We had a great time and can’t wait for the next. Enjoy! – Loren
Players Show, now in its 7th year of existence is tearing the UK car scene to bits. Ran by two crazy men Carl Taylor and Jamie Mctoldridge with a don’t care attitude. These two are no strangers to show scene with a successful event held at an airfield in Essex later on in the season this year they wanted to put another date in the dairy.
Players classics! Why classic may you ask… well I think this was all down to the location. Held at Goodwood motor circuit, which to give you a little insider opened in 1948, the first single seat race for Graham Hill and was the very place that ended Stirling Moss’s career. It is with out a doubt a very special place in the history of motorsport and it is the first time that cars of this culture have every parked up on the Goodwood grass.
