Each year as the bitter cold begins to retreat the folks at Grossman Tuning wrap up their plans for their Spring show-season opener, Water by the Bridge. What started as a small get together at their shop in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, has become a must-attend for anyone in the MidWest and Southern U.S. The former “Grossman Tuning Show” has seen quite an exponential increase in attendance since its humble beginnings in the back parking lot of their shop.
To wrap up the month of April and kick off the new season on the East Coast Team Summospeed presented the fifth annual Springfest, hosted at a brand new location that really set the tone compared to previous years. This year Springfest laid claim to the Virginia Beach Convention center, which allowed the event to be broken up into an inside and outside portion. The weather that hit Virginia and the surrounding states the night before the show left minor concerns on how it would affect the attendance of participants. Thankfully everyone woke up to a cloudless sky on show day and Springfest 5 ended up being more than proper, providing a DJ, food, an on-site mobile dyno, vendors, and a diverse showcase of cars.
Needless to say Springfest was a great time prior to this year, but now with the new location the event has definitely become the show to attend if you want to start the season off the right way.

This year’s Formula Drift season kicked off with a bang on the streets of Long Beach, California. Returning competitors were looking to start their season off with a podium, and rookies were looking to make their mark. This may be the first stop on the Formula Drift schedule but it is by no means the easiest. The course at Long Beach is tight and unforgiving, one mistake will put you into a wall at high speeds. Personally this is one of my favorite tracks, with loads of close tandems and wall taps the energy and excitement is explosive. This year wasn’t any different — great battles and numerous crashes, among other things, that provided a great taste of what the rest of the 2014 season will bring.

Slammed Society: Offset Kings kicks off the beginning of show season for most in Southern California, and what better way to kick off the show season than a car show combined with Formula Drift. Long Beach, California is the first stop on the Slammed Society schedule along with Formula Drift, and this location has always been a great time through out the years. This is where you get to see all the cars that have undergone huge changes throughout the winter months for the first time, and after walking around the show for a while what better way to take a break than taking a seat and watching a little Formula Drift live.
Ultimate Dubs is one of the select few shows we choose to cover each year simply because of the level of pure quality delivered out of Europe and the U.K. UD was held at the Telford International Centre (Nr Birmingham) again this year, which is a perfect location for a typical British day in March. Not this time, though, as the temperature dropped as low as 18 degrees for this year’s season opener. Social media was going a bit crazy with the days leading up to the event, especially since everything is kept top secret up to the last minute to squeeze out any final touches.
A few of the cars you will set your eyes on below where planned months in advance only to be finished with hours to spare. This all makes it very exciting and fresh, and makes my job as a photographer a tad bit harder when the car is crowded with people all day. Patients sure does pay off.
I hope you enjoy the coverage, and expect to see more from the UK this summer!
Ultimate Dubs: one of the biggest VAG shows in the UK. Crazy clean builds all across Europe come to put themselves under the spot light. Luckily the team at Definitive were there to catch it all as it happened. As we are just putting the final touches to our photo coverage sit back and enjoy our official Ultimate Dubs 2014 video.
Eurorkacy Montréal is Canada’s largest and finest European automotive event. Attracting spectators from all over North America and Europe, Eurokracy is the only event worth getting your passport stamped for. This year Eurokracy will be held on June 28, 2014 at Napierville Dragway in Canada. Enjoy the Official Trailer by our good friends over at AirSociety. We cannot wait for this one!
While the rest of the United States is being blanketed by snow we here in the Sunshine State truly feel bad for you… kind of. Welcome to Florida, where you can wear short and tan year-round, and host a killer euro show without worrying about the cold weather and snow. Sure it gets cool down here, but we welcome that as a break. Enough with the weather report, welcome to Euro Tripper 2! February 2014 hosted the second edition of the all euro event in sunny Ft. Myers, Florida. The Germain Arena hosted the show again this year, and if you missed the second edition of this ever growing event it’s safe to say you really missed out.
Let’s face it the car scene as a whole utilizes and relies heavily on the Internet for just about anything and everything. Whether you’re looking up prices for parts, checking out the latest builds, or just keeping in contact with your friends we’re a well-connected community because of the Internet. If there is any one area that, for the most part, stays away from the Internet it’d be safe to say it’s Texas. Every year the Lone Star State comes out hard, revealing builds that have been kept under the radar to be premiered at the state’s biggest and most anticipated event; WEKFEST Texas. Just like previous years all Texans were patiently awaiting the announcement of this year’s date and location. Last year WEKFEST was hosted in Austin, and this year in Houston at the George R. Brown Convention Center. With that said here’s a look back at WEKFEST Texas 2013… enjoy! See you guys in February for WEKFEST Hawaii.
