A year went by as the east coast prepared for an event that would change the course of our automotive culture and history. The tri-state generation had yet to prove and showcase their knowledge, hard work, and their way of life. When the announcement was made that Weksos USA was hosting a show right in the center of the North East people flooded with excitement and anticipation, eager to finally climb up as underdogs to the west, and come up as kings of the east.
This week’s Wallpaper Wednesday is brought to you by our very own Jess Kang, with a few shots of Taylor Breneiser’s Miata from Pennsylvania!
His name Jerald Yutadco, AKA JAYCRAY. Word of mouth is that he is the first to put an Acura RSX on bags. As of now he is running on UAS Air Suspension and sitting on Work Meister 3PC; 18×10.5 and 18.9.5. The RSX is a work in progress, and as of now he’s continuing toward his goals and expectations. We hope you enjoy the video!
Your first car, that car that is usually one that you may not have gotten to exactly pick out yourself but still turns out to be one filled with memories. For a car enthusiast it’s our first hit of what will eventually become a life-long addiction; a life filled with a passion for anything on wheels. For Ricky Granado, he started with a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer. Its looks were tolerable and its performance was lacking but it would last him through the ups and downs of his first years behind the wheel and would give him just a taste of what would come to fruition in the following years.
Alright, so we see a lot of Impreza’s in the modified scene, but it’s not too common to come across a clean, slammed Subaru Forester on a nice set of wheels. Robbie Erickson’s Forester is much more than just your daily grocery-getting wagon, no, this car is bound to stop you in your tracks when you see it rolling by. These shots, sent in by Connor Limbocker capture Robbie’s Forester in motion, rolling on a set of Watercooled IND cc10′s, measuring 18″x9.5″ all the way around! Thanks for the awesome pictures guys!
Derek Buehler and John Quay are among the lowest Static E36’s, with front lips gliding mere millimeters over the beaten roads we have all come to expect in the Tristate area. They aren’t afraid to drive them either. Derek managed to survive the minefield that is Center City Philadelphia on his trip up from Maryland for the Shrink all the Cars meet back in April. John didn’t hesitate to hop in, throw the top down and drive from his home in Central PA down to Maryland for us to shoot the film you see before you. We had a blast and the Baltimore suburbs of Columbia provided for a perfect backdrop. Enjoy!
For the 3rd year StanceWars has brought together slammed, flush and fitted cars together from the Pacific Northwest . The top 100 cars showcased on the rooftop of this VIP style event provides enthusiasts with a first hand experience to witness the finest cars in the area. Whether your into JDM, Euro, Static or Air everyone seemed to find a car they could connect with. This show is growing every year, so if you wanna make that top 100 you better spin those coils down and polish those fenders. We at Canibeat had I great time covering the event, enjoy the video!
The BMW M3 is an icon in the automotive world as one of the best looking and driving cars ever built. Ian Higgins’ E36 is no exception. Taking inspiration from both the stance scene and racing roots, Ian’s M3 combines both appearance, and purpose.
The pleasure was all mine when I visited Union, New Jersey, and in particular the Kean University Campus. Coincidentally Kean University was also the home of this year’s Fresh MEET Summer Bash. Fresh Meet events are held to provide a safe and secure area designated for enthusiasts of all ages and communities to attend, where they can display their vehicle and share a common interest. But more importantly they’re held to provide the new generation a direction that can provide inspiration and the willingness to build some awesome vehicles. After a long trek from Canada I arrived to the venue the night prior. I stopped to go over some setup information with Rey Pegan before making my way to my hotel to rest up.
