This week, Johnny Bazooka brings us Paul Tran’s 1999 Lexus GS300 of Liberty VIP.
This week, Sam Ip Media brings you Ming’s awesome VIP style Infiniti M45.
I know I’m not alone in saying that things can spiral out of control when getting the “mod bug”. For a lot of us car enthusiasts, wheels and suspension are a given. For others, go-fast bits are more important. For the rest, an almost religious attention to cleanliness is of utmost importance. For Josh Esfahani, a car isn’t complete until it contains all these aspects. This car is low, this car is fast, and this car is clean. This, is Josh’s 2002 B6 Audi A4.
The level of H2O hype continues to shatter all previous years as each new September rolls around. Along with that hype, comes preparation. All of you who frequent Instagram have witnessed the phenomenon of “#h20prep”. If you were curious enough to search that hash tag in the weeks counting down to h2o this year, you would have seen people literally building cars. Not just swapping wheels or getting last minute coilovers on, but bodywork, interiors, full re-sprays, and shaving bays. This continued all the way up to mere days before departure for Ocean city. The amount of work that people attempted to complete (and in most cases completed), in the weeks before H2O is mind blowing. With that being said, I felt it was only appropriate to start off this year’s video with a tribute to the amount of work all of you performed, with the vision of your completed project making its appearance on Coastal Highway. I had the privilege of arriving on Tuesday and watching the madness unfold as cars poured into Ocean City. I sat in a lawn chair by the 62nd street Bridge one day late in the week to watch cars arriving. The expressions on people’s faces as they roll onto the strip for the first time is priceless, we all know that feeling. With the Cars and Cameras opening party, air affair, and a hundred other themed meets, there was never a dull moment at H2O. Only 51 more weeks until next year.
If you thought Christmas was “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”, someone lied to you; they’ve never been to Ocean City, Maryland during the last weekend of September.
H2Oi has all the ingredients to make the perfect weekend: an amazing venue with a beach, a strip to cruise, large parking lots to congregate, and hundreds upon hundreds of cars toting around thousands of enthusiasts to the tune of VR6 exhaust notes, air ride systems dumping their pressurized contents, and the smell of burning rubber. Ingredients so perfect, in fact, that many people have started showing up earlier and earlier in the week and making a full, week-long vacation out of it (much like the Europeans do with Worthersee Treffen in Austria). It’s the most anticipated show of the year in the Euro community with people building cars for months (and sometimes years) with THIS show as their deadline.
As if a Nissan Skyline wasn’t a rare enough site, a woman opening the driver’s side door has got to be about as rare as getting struck by lighting….twice! Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Mallory and her 2000 Nissan Skyline GT-T definitely cause most onlookers to do a double take.
Sam Ip and Karl Johnston are at it again and this time, Karl’s S2000 is sporting a fresh new color as well as a new set of shoes. When Karl first looked into switching up the color of his car, the ever-so-famous, Laguna Seca Blue, was on the top of the list. That is, until he saw this beautiful RWB Porsche blue! Karl said, “IF the color is changing, so are the wheels!” And that they did, to a staggered set of Work VS-XX’s; 18″x9.5″ in the front, and 18″x10.5″ in the rear! Sam Ip hooked us up with a beautiful video of Karl’s refreshed S2000 and we couldn’t be more excited, check it out!

There are throngs of gearheads out there addicted to a make; those who would consider themselves “brand loyal” with an exclusive taste for Honda, Volkswagen, Ford, etc. Sure, they may be car enthusiasts who have an appreciation for all things automotive but they reserve their funds and driveways for the one make they love. Going a step further, there are those who are addicted to a specific model of a specific make and find themselves with multiple vehicles of the same model over the course of their lives or even at the same time. We all know that guy who wouldn’t even consider life without an M3 or Integra in the garage (running or not). You know, the people who have an EK hatch or Mustang for the track, another for daily driving, one more that’s “destined for greatness”, and another on jack-stands behind the garage as a parts donor. Whether it is multiple generations of the same model or just one specific chassis, these guys have a deep, unbreakable bond with their steed of choice.

A year went by as the east coast prepared for an event that would change the course of our automotive culture and history. The tri-state generation had yet to prove and showcase their knowledge, hard work, and their way of life. When the announcement was made that Weksos USA was hosting a show right in the center of the North East people flooded with excitement and anticipation, eager to finally climb up as underdogs to the west, and come up as kings of the east.
