Wheels. Rims. Rollers. It doesn’t matter what you call them, they are the difference. Wheels make or break a car and you can’t deny it. Are they everything? No, but they sure are the icing on the cake. It’s actually amazing how literally just a set of wheels can change the ENTIRE look and feel of a car. From zero to hero, wheels are a large part of the complicated equation for a classy, unique car. Read More »
It's been quite a while since I've posted and some of you may think I died or something along those lines, but no worries, I'm back and I've brought along with me a pretty unique feature that we all don't see that often. First off I want to thank all the supporters of Canibeat and those who appreciate my photography efforts. I never knew that many of you would recognize my work when we posted a status on our Facebook fan page asking who your favorite photographers were. Truth be told, while reading the responses, I was truly overwhelm with joy when I read my name. I felt that this feature would be a perfect come back post. Read More »
For some when they pick up their blank canvases, they end up turning into so much more than just a build. They turn out to be extensions of their owners and also a tool for their owner to learn. David Nguyen’s 2009 Honda Ruckus aka “Mr. Switches” just so happened to be one of those blank canvases but over time has turned into quite the piece of work. Read More »

I've been following Canibeat for some time now, so when the girls told me about this project and asked me to shoot I was all about it. Cherry, Lauren and I had been trying to plan a shoot but with me being in Chicago and them being 3hrs away the logistics didn't always work out as a lot of my shooting is done last minute. My take on the project was that Canibeat wanted some snaps of these lovely ladies wearing their swag. So I figured I'd find a location and a prop car and we'd rock it out. The morning of the shoot our preferred (indoor) location fell through, but the girls were on their way and my prop car was good to go - I'll take 2/3 any day. Read More »
Winter is upon us, and the decision of what to drive throughout the inclement weather is drawing near. Do you go the reliable route with something large, heavy, truck-like? Or keep it subtle yet aggressive with one of the many turbo/AWD contenders on the market? David Charland (or “DeeSan”) had a completely different idea altogether; a 350Z!? Read More »

There are few experiences as amazing as stepping into a new car. Every sense is stimulated by the freshest in ICE technologies, the sounds of the newest engines, and that oh-so-distinctive, irreplicable new car smell. The cars that are being made today are faster, better-appointed, and more efficient than ever. And yet, the vintage scene is larger than it's ever been before. Classic muscle car enthusiasts are currently spending tens of thousands of dollars creating Pro-Touring cars out of 35 year old Detroit iron, import fans are hunting down seemingly forgotten Japanese performance models, and wheel companies are re-releasing wheels that five years ago would have been easily found in a junkyard. Every time the scene delivers an unworldly 1000 HP GTR or LF-A, a mint condition Hakosuka or 2000GT rises up from the annals of history to remind us that newer doesn't exactly mean better. With every new model release comes new potential. Every year, car enthusiasts watch new vehicles hit the show floors across the world at shows in Detroit, Las Vegas and Tokyo and the first thing that comes to mind is how much better that car would look if _______________ was done to it. Seeing commercials, show coverage and photoshopped pictures of the new models exponentially increases the anticipation of how it can be modified. Whether it’s a certain set of wheels, a slight or dramatic drop, or specific exterior modifications, we can all picture it and build a full show car in our minds (with those imaginary, unlimited funds we also possess) before we even see it in person. After the car hits the showroom floor and goes up for sale, everyone anxiously awaits the first person to start modifying it. It’s a heavy weight Dan Allard has once carried on his shoulders but when he started modifying his Vauxhall Corsa, all eyes were on him and he did anything but disappoint… Read More »
Usually when you hop on your computer or phone, tap in Canibeat.com, and let the page load, you find yourself overwhelmed with shots of imports or European cars that seem to be closer to the pavement than you were to your date in high school. From time to time though, we like to throw you a curve-ball and today we have the honor of introducing to you Mark’s bagged crew-cab dually Chevy truck, which is big enough to have its own zip code.
