Track Cars

Photography & Words by John Zhang for Canibeat.com Everyone would agree that it's always better late than never right? Yes, that's right, we did attend Wekfest Los Angeles in Long Beach, however, due to time constraints and scheduling, all the photographers that attended were not able to get their coverage out until now. This will be part one of what's to come in the near future. Anyway, just like Wekfest San Francisco this year, the turn out was huge and the quality of cars was amazing. So enough with the text, we'll let the photos do the talking. Read More »

Photography by Jeffery Chin Canibeat started with just a few friends who shared a passion for cars and quality photography. Just like many of you, we spent our free time surfing forums and checking out our favorite photographers on Flickr. Although we have grown away from our days of posting random finds and moved more towards exclusive features from our great team of exclusive Canibeat photographers, we will always have a place to showcase photos and videos from other up and coming photographers and videographers! With that said it has been a while since I have posted one of my "Random Pic(k)'s" so in the middle of working on some new features I wanted to showcase some work from Jeffrey Chin, a talented young photographer from Alberta, Canada. Photography by David Tormey & D.Tek & Bob MacMillan / Words by David Tormey for Canibeat.com As much as I love road trips, red eye flights, and traveling to shows across the country with friends, there are a handful of local events here in my home state of New Jersey that I look forward to every year.  One of my favorite weekends of the year is Round 4 of Formula D at Wall Stadium.  In years past we were only able to attend the main event on Saturday, this year we wanted to bring you coverage of not only qualifying but today's practice session also! Photography & Words by John Zhang for Canibeat.com I was generously invited a few weeks ago to the HRE Wheels Open House event. Shooting higher end cars is a rare occurrence for me so I took it as a great opportunity to shoot some nicely modified cars. The turn out was great and the quality of cars was even better. The front, side, and back lots of HRE headquarters were filled with amazing automobile machinery including the inside of the warehouse. Talk about a turnout, I was just amazed throughout the day! Photography by Johnny Ly & Words by JC Vallido for Canibeat.com Here's another change of CIB scenery. No flush, bagged, 18x11 wheels for this Honda S2000 and is only meant to do one thing, win races. The car may look subtle from the outside and showing off a carbon fiber wing which is one proof that this car means track business. But wait 'til you see the car's full spec sheet because it has a ton more of performance enhancements beneath it's blue skin. Read More »

Photography John Zhang & Marcus Cooke / Words by Marin Nelson for Canibeat.com We being more of th e adventurous type decided to go on a journey to Hellaflush 8, and on all possible days as it was suppose end of the world! (cough: May 21st 2011). Though the messiah didn't show up and destroy the earth but the turnout was spectacular! Parking was a mess, not due to organization by any means but due to the fact of the mass quantity of cars that showed up so quickly. Read More »
Photography John Zhang & Cristian Loza / Words by John Zhang for Canibeat.com This past weekend Canibeat tried to hit up as many car events as they could. Some of the guys even flew out from the east coast to the west coast for some coverage. We've been busy. One of the last meets was the Rotiform Sunday Funday car meet, which featured an array of European cars and even some JDM cars too. In the end, our good friends at Rotiform even let us tour their warehouse and office space, so check it out! Read More »

Bimmerfest 2011

Photography & Words by John Zhang for Canibeat.com For those of you who don't know, Bimmerfest might be the world's largest gathering of BMW's outside of Germany. Similar to last year, I had the opportunity to attend Bimmerfest 2011 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. I the heard attendance levels of the cars was double of last year. I doubt there were 6000 cars like some told me, but it was well past 1000 for sure. It was basically a treasure trove of BMW's for me to shoot, so I'm just going to let the photos do the talking in this one. Be sure to check out the photo gallery after this post since it would be impossible for me post close to 300 photos up on a post. Enjoy! Read More »
