Derek Buehler and John Quay are among the lowest Static E36’s, with front lips gliding mere millimeters over the beaten roads we have all come to expect in the Tristate area. They aren’t afraid to drive them either. Derek managed to survive the minefield that is Center City Philadelphia on his trip up from Maryland for the Shrink all the Cars meet back in April. John didn’t hesitate to hop in, throw the top down and drive from his home in Central PA down to Maryland for us to shoot the film you see before you. We had a blast and the Baltimore suburbs of Columbia provided for a perfect backdrop. Enjoy!
Josh Joyce’s Willy’s Rat Rod is a controversial culmination of master craftsmanship fueled by an attitude of not giving a f***. He went into this build doing whatever he wanted how he wanted. His goal was to build something outlandish with the parts he had laying around. Pairing a Willys truck with a VW turbo diesel and then throwing tractor tires on it wouldnt sound like a typical build for anyone. However, Josh Joyce’s erratic persona drives his willingness to shock and constantly blow minds; and this car is nothing out of the ordinary for his life. People are shocked by the work and the style, but positivity always illuminates onlookers’ smiles.
Enjoy this video that showcases the dire insanity of Josh Joyce’s Willys.
The East Coast Honda meet is an annual gathering of people who proudly represent vehicles notoriously badged with that famous “H.” These enthusiasts come together from up and down the east coast and some even make the trip across the country. Flocking together in convoys, many groups arrived to Richmond International Raceway rocking new wheel setups, new paint, bigger turbos, and even some crazier tucked engine bays. The meet brought everyone who loved Hondas together to enjoy the showcase of all sorts of builds. Regardless of the intense heat mother nature had brought upon the two day event, the gathering was a success. Enjoy the video coverage of the 2013 East Coast Honda Meet.
The NSX. The Crown Jewel when it comes to production performance in the Honda community. Sam Ip Media was lucky enough to catch Michael Mao’s Super Street Featured Acura NSX carving up the mountains recently. So sit back, turn the volume up and take in the intoxicating sound of a legend that has been lost to a world of bottom-lines and environmentalists.

The second annual European automotive show, Eurohangar, was once again a hit. Hosted during the last weekend in June in Holland, Michigan, the show’s location was beautiful. We started out at the pre-meet on Friday night then ended at the show on Saturday. If you missed out this year, be sure to look into going next year! Enjoy our video event coverage by Ethan Watson & Aaron Meeuwsen!
I flew down to LA and spent the weekend with my buddy Matthew Ramos from Panda Feet Productions. It was great getting to chill with some of the Canibeat crew again and checking out the LA area together. Matthew and I double teamed each car with 5Dmk2s and a variety of lenses and tools. We had a great time and can’t wait for the next. Enjoy! – Loren
Southern California photographer and videographer Sam Ipman recently just wrapped up a photoshoot with Daniel Leung’s static and daily driven Subaru WRX STI Hatchback. The two met up before hand to quickly plan the video and how things were going to go down and then they hit the streets of Los Angeles. Sam told us that “Daniel is a super chill guy from LA building his car with such a deep passion.” Enjoy this teaser video and expect the full photo feature and story to release soon.
After three successful years at Downsview Park, it was time for Fitted to move to a larger location at the Brampton Fairgrounds. This epic event was held on Saturday May 25, 2013 and put on by the people from Stretch & Poke. We hope you guys enjoy the official Canibeat Fitted Showcase 2013 video!
After being started as a small shop get together in 2005 by Grossman Tuning, Water by the Bridge 2009 marked the progress of the event as a whole. Wanting the show to be a place for Euro enthusiasts of all types, Grossman started to set up the show. After getting approval for one of the sickest places around, Water by the Bridge was set to be held at the gorgeous Waterfront Park in Louisville, Ky. Each year, more people came. In 2012, about 200-250 cars showed up, but that’s nothing close to what 2013 had to offer. Apparently word had gotten out; Water by the Bridge was the place to be in 2013.
It’s a subtle, yet distinguished platform. The BMW M5 is a refined gentleman’s car with a flare of exuberance and vigor. My long time friend Kirill knows these qualities oh so well, and he has managed to take the M5 to a crazier level. Sporting a fresh matte silver wrap, the M5’s presence is overwhelming and profund. The car fits 20×11 and 20×12 DPE CS5 wheels while dropped on H&R springs. The V10’s scream is amplified beautifully with the addition of the Tubi exhaust and RPI intake. With the carbon accents, dark wheel faces, and body color that reminds you of a beckoning storm, Kirill’s M5 is sinister and threatening. The finesse of the luxury and class still remain, however, and this car is an artisitc fusion of grim, obnoxious force and tasteful, aesthetic elegance. Kirill has named this machine Emma, and she is an exquisite machine.
