It’s official, Southern Worthersee now rivals H20 International for the best Volkswagen/Audi show on the east coast. 2013 was noticeably larger than any previous year. There were more people, cars, burnouts, and cops than ever before. Thankfully Helen, Georgia still welcomes the stance crowd with open arms. The level of craftsmanship and style was, as always, unbelievable. The amount of money, time, and effort put into these cars is staggering. In addition, it never ceases to amaze me how far people come for this show. Some of the license plates this weekend included Utah, Toranto, and Mexico. They make our humble trip from Philly seem like a breeze. I had a blast providing this coverage and I hope you all enjoy! Hope you enjoy the video.
As the show season kicks off again this year, we all have our favorite events to look forward to months ahead. On my personal list of favorite shows is Springfest, an annual gathering presented by Virginia Beach’s Sumospeed crew. Every year the event grows larger and larger and the venue stays packed throughout the whole day. Every kind of car is welcome and there is a range of class entries for all kinds to enter. Stanced cars fitted on air and proper wheels were once again the popular favorites but a variety of muscle cars, exotics, and classics were proudly shining in attendance as well. We braved a handful of heavy downpours during the day, but once the sun came back out and dried the rain we got back to enjoying one of the biggest car show spectacles ever seen in Virginia Beach. Hope you guys enjoy the video!
I took a drive up to Golden Gardens (Seattle, WA) with Fellow Canibeat Photographer Ignatius McCarthy a few weeks ago for this meet which was put on by Mike Tolliver @ Stancewars and NW-Built. The meet accommodated 3,000 people and hundreds of cars. Here is just a slice of what went on. Enjoy guys!
Wow! There have been a lot of quality builds that have been spawning out of Hawaii as of late and this 2010 Genesis 3.8L is no exception. This beauty belonging to Jon Macapagal and was previously featured on Canibeat prior to him obtaining this rare set of Gram lights you see here with CRAZY specs (19×9 -10 f & 19×10 -20 rear). The previous feature was shot by our own Anthony Lezada when Jon still lived in California, prior to being stationed in Hawaii. Check it out here.

First was our exclusive coverage of Wekfest Hawaii 2013, and now to further enhance your experience of the event and add to our coverage we bring you the official video. Put together by the creative team at Project-Definition this video showcases some of the hottest rides in our coverage. This year at Canibeat, we really want to bring you guys more content from our friends overseas. CrispyClean hails from Bangkok, Thailand and show us what they have to offer from their side of the world. Like every crew, they came from humble beginnings as a group of friends who love cars and enjoy customizing them. They started getting known around their scene for giving their cars distinctive personalities and developing one of a kind cars.
A ‘Wild Card’ feature for Performance VW Magazine – This one-off feature looks at a group of PVW regulars, that ventured across to Porsche ownership. PVW Magazine got over their insane levels of jealousy and decided to get together 10 of them and find out what it is about Porsches that people are going crazy for.
Cleverly thought up by the owner of this 2007 Lexus GS350, Chance, “Street Suited” showcases a well rounded street car that is also suited for a more classy VIP feel whenever need be. I’ve always been a fan of his car and was thankful enough to get a chance to get it on film.
Back again! Sorry for the two weeks of being wallpaper-less. This week we bring you some killer shots of a French MK2 Golf, shot by Romain Shep.

I’ve been building a new Hexacopter (6) for about 3 months now, this one is able to carry a DSLR camera. After finally getting all the bugs worked out i was ready to test it and my new wireless video transmitter. I was flying the hex while my copilot controlled the camera gimbal from a remote TV feed. For the most part we had everything operating properly just in time for another Pat’s Acres Racing Complex drift event. This GoKart track located in Canby, Oregon has been providing a safe place for local rear wheel drivers to tear it up for the last 3 years now. Its always a great opportunity to see some awesome grassroots drifting as well as shoot drifting in a relaxed environment.
