RWB/RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF is a Porsche tuner located in Japan. RWB has combined Japanese and Euro tuning elements, creating the distinct RWB style for Porsche chassis. Starting off as a small countryside body-shop in Chiba-Ken, RAUH-Welt 911’s are are built for both the streets and racing circuits of Japan and now in many other countries. RWB creates only one RWB Porsche for each customer.
I got the call from Canibeat to shoot the new RWB USA demo car while at Wuste in Las Vegas and only had an hour to meet up with them and shoot it before they had to return for the weekend! The extreme temperatures there really pushed my camera to the max hitting 120 degrees on the tarmac! I’ve never been in Vegas either so it was a real challenge to find good spots in a hurry. regardless we hit up a few spots, filmed a little, then let them on their way! Great guys to finally meet and hopefully we see more from them soon!
For those of you who have never been to Canada, the fitment scene is alive and well in Toronto! Fitted Showcase is an annual show hosted by our friends at Stretch & Poke and this year we teamed up with Chris Chu from Backstage Productions to capture the event and all that Canada’s aggressive fitment culture has to offer. Stretch & Poke hosted the first aggressive fitment event in Toronto, and most likely Canada back in 2010. Now in their 3rd year of hosting the event both the number and quality of cars has grown. With over 500 cars packing out Downsview Park this year this looks like an event everyone should look forward to for years to come!
Southern Worthersee 2012 in Helen Georgia was one of the best weekends I’ve ever had. With less than one week’s notice from the time of departure I was able take off of work, overnight ship camera gear, and hop in the car for the 800 mile drive from Philadelphia to Georgia with no idea what to expect. The Bavarian themed town of Helen is simply gorgeous. The atmosphere can be compared to H20 international in Ocean City Maryland, except the town of Helen is so much more welcoming to the show. The weekend is packed with the “Low Down Show Down” limbo contest at the bar, Unitronic’s wheel release party, APR’s cookout, all concluding with a police sanctioned cruise into the mountainous roads that surround northern Georgia. For those of you who have yet to experience SOWO make it a point to attend in 2013!
Many of you will remember Brendan Hinds’ Audi S5 that we featured a few weeks ago. He originally purchased the car with the intention to keep it stock, but we all know how that story ends. Here’s Load It Production’s take on that gorgeous S5 and the perfectly fitted Vossen wheels.
Not quite your average car show, Spring Meet was mostly a swap meet style show which also provided a great place to see a lot of air-cooled VWs. The atmosphere was welcoming inside the family and dog friendly Bellevue Community College parking garage. Each of the 4 levels offered something from food to cars, with sponsored raffles benefiting local charities. This was a great place to kick back with friends and proves that even a show as small as this can still be interesting.
From the second I saw Mike DeCarli’s 164s, I knew it was something special. It wasn’t just another build, but evidence of a passion for a brand and respect for the Alfa Romeo name.
I had never filmed a feature in the rain before, but thought it would be a cool concept, so I called up my friend Alexa to let me shoot her boosted E36. This car is badass, even more so because a girl built the car. There are not too many females in the community with this level of dedication to a vehicle. Everything on the car has been touched, and her fitment is aggressive and functional. This BMW obviously goes as much at it shows. Enjoy.
The first round of Formula Drift kicked off in Long Beach, CA on the world famous Grand Prix Street Course. Rookie driver Daigo Saito from Japan was driving in a +1000whp sc430 came in 3rd place, putting down the thickest clouds of smoke ever seen in FD. Justin Pawlak managed to once again smash the competition with his amazing lead runs, and dangerously close follow runs to beat the 2011 champion, Daijiro Yoshihara. Justin Pawlak once again took the victory at Long Beach for the 2nd year in a row. Canibeat will be in full force this year providing you with photo and video coverage from all seven Formula Drift events. Stay Tuned!
Rion Morse’s e30 has been whoring around Facebook and Instagram for a few months now. So for the first time ever we bring you a video featuring his car during the final stages of his wheel build and test fitting. Rion at one point had three different sets of these Gotti’s around his house waiting to be built into the perfect set. Also in this video is Simon Holliday’s MK4 Jetta on built BBS RS’s. Simon, though on bags now has a passion for being low. Even in the brutal streets of downtown Savannah drives his car on the subframe 80% of the time. The shop this was shot in is The Car Spa in Savannah, GA. A huge thank you goes to Patrick and his dad Mr. Burns for their courtesy of letting us hang out. If you’re ever in the area, stop by to say hello or get a fresh detail. Enjoy the video!
