Alright, I believe we’ve overindulged just a little bit with features of vip’s and euro’s lately, so i’m bringing back the Honda finesse. So it’s a 4-door FA5 Civic, whoop de freakin’ doo, BUT this just ain’t no ordinary blue civic on some pretty shiny CCW’s.. it’s LOWERED. Okay no really, it’s got some go-fast goodies under the hood too.

For as much of the “stanced” cars we post on Canibeat, it’s easy to sometimes overlook the cars that are still doing things right, without the oversized rims and undersized tires. Mike Dela Cruz from east of San Jose, CA shows us a great example of a clean Honda Civic Si (FA5).

Harry Tam of Elusive Apparel LLC for canibeat.com
Both Michael Isip & Harry Tam are no strangers to canibeat.com. Both their rides have both been featured on here before… but never together. The two met up this past weekend at the YERBA BUENA 4TH ANNUAL CAR SHOW (05/08/10). After the show they did a photoshoot that both of them had been wanting a long time to do. Both cars were at the meet advertising for Elusive Apparel LLC; a clothing company based in San Jose, CA. If you haven’t heard of them you should definitely check out what these guys are doing! You saw this shoot here first on canibeat.com .. enjoy guys.

Now this is one fresh FA5 to feast your eyes on. Trust me, I literally sat at my desk starring at this car for about a good half an hour. I just couldn’t believe how flawless the lines were, and how well each and every part that was added/modified could work so perfectly.
Does the car look a little familiar to you? Not sure if you guys have figured it out, but this car was featured here on Canibeat.com back in March of this year. Michael Isip definitely made sure he would make a comeback this time with a huge punch with finesse. I’m sure you can already spot some noticeable changes to the car, but the two main major additions would have to be the JDM FD2 rear upgrade and of course the obvious, custom CCW’s.
As an owner of an FA5 myself, the first thing that came to mind was… Why did the U.S. end up with such a plain front and rear end? I guess Michael agree’s with me on that one, swapping out the boring U.S. spec rear trunk and tail lights, and replacing it with the Japan spec rear end (FD1/FD2). The rear end swap would have been just enough for me, but Michael didn’t seem to think so. Doing away with his previous set of BBS LM’s, he just had to one up himself by going custom. Now rolling on a set of CCW Classics (Race Version) fully polished with specs 17×9 and 2.5” step lips all around. As for the interior, new Bride Vios Lo Max III seats were installed along with an authentic Mugen steering wheel with quick release.
I’m sure Michael has some new ideas and parts up his sleeves, and to be honest I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next! A huge thanks to Michael Isip for building such a beautiful FA5 and a bigger thanks to our very own exclusive photographer Anthony Lezada for these amazing photos!

It doesn’t matter what you’re dropped on these days, as long as you are slammed… that’s all that counts. My good friend Nate Christian once told me that “A car is never too low, it’s the ground that is too high.” This Honda Civic without a doubt lives by that saying on a daily basis. Enjoy guys.

I have always had a soft spot for FA5’s slammed to the ground and done right. Michael Isip posted this beauty in our **Official (Cani)Beat Worthy Thread** on the forums and I contacted him right away. At the time he didnt have a proper shoot done but shortly after met up with Dale Tu and below is the outcome.
Michael just sold his BBS’ LMs (17×8, 17×9 +35 all around & wrapped in: 205/40 215/40) and has something very special lined up for his next set of shoes. You can without a doubt expect an exclusive canibeat feature when that goes down. Until then.. enjoy these beat worthy photos. Happy Thursday everyone!

My good friend Oriol contacted me the other day and asked me for a high-res version of this shot I took of his car last summer. This is one of my favorite shots that I’ve taken however there were still some issues I needed to fix and some other color and levels adjustments I wanted to make before I sent it over to him. This was the first shot in a while I really spent some time editing, and it inspired me to do a little work on my website (davidtormey.com) which I will have up this month!

Oriol’s Fiji Blue 4dr Si is one of my favorite 8thgen Si’s… From inside, to outside, to under the hood this is a very well rounded build! It’s hard to pick my favorite part of this car… between the power (Greddy Turbo Kit), the wheels (18×8.5 +30 Bronze Volk RE-30’s), and just the sound of this thing! Oriol is moving back to Spain this year but I hope to do another shoot of this beauty for you guys.
