[Wallpaper Wednesdays]: Green With Envy

This week we bring you a wallpaper of the Jotech Motorsports Lamborghini “Verde Ithica” Green widebody GT-R, photographed by the talented Mr. Dale Martin. Jotech contracted HRE wheels to build a one off custom set of their 593RS wheels to fill the wide body arches on this GT-R, and Dale snapped this photo while shooting the car recently for HRE with Pepper Yandell. Dale is a Texas based photographer known for his amazing retouching skills, and this photo is just another example of one of his surreal edits! If you live in the Dallas, Texas area and you are interested in having your car featured here on Canibeat leave a comment below!

MVP Status: 66MVP’s Nissan GTR That’s Far From the Norm

slammed GTR

Every once in a while, a car comes along that seems to be perfect in every way: amazing looks, spectacular performance, and of course an awesome price. The Nissan GTR was that car, and continues to be that car. When the most recent R35 body style came out, I remember Nissan making claims that it was “untuneable”, even to the extent of cutting off aftermarket suppliers from making parts for the car until it was available worldwide. As we can all see now, it takes a lot more than that to stop the tuning world. In a few short years we’ve come to accept them yet again as amazing tuning platforms, capable of attacking road courses as well as the strip with spectacular results.

Tracked and Wrapped: Ricky’s Performance Nissan GT-R

nissan_gtr_r35 (16)

There’s always a reason behind why we love cars and why we modify them. Depending on the person, some will go for show while others will go for a car that can perform. No matter what type of person you are we all share one common interest that brings us together and that is we all love modifying our cars. Ricky, the owner of this GT-R, decided to go the track and performance route for his build. Ricky is not a newbie when it comes to building functional track-ready cars, his whole garage only consists of track-ready cars. You might remember his red BMW M3 that I posted a while back. Yup, this is the same owner. Read More

You may remember Claude Ligon’s Nissan GTR that was featured here on Canibeat back in March. Our good friend Jordan Donnelly traveled to First Class Fitment 2011 to cover the event for V2Lab.com. We all knew Jordan wasn’t going to leave New Jersey without shooting a supercar! Here’s a desktop wallpaper for you guys! Enjoy.

A Prologue to Becoming a Monster: Claude Ligon’s Nissan GTR

The GTR has been nicknamed the “Godzilla” of the import world. The GTR you’re feasting your eyes on, owned by Claude, is on the path to becoming a truly amazing machine. He has already made this car look sleek but also kept close to the GTR’s bodylines that it was originally born with.

I walked into work this morning with a craving to post some nissan’s for some odd reason.  While I was doing my normal browsing, I stumbled on this campaign that Nissan is launching.

Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) just launched the “I’m Nissan Crazy” campaign and this fully integrated marketing effort is focused towards bringing Nissan and ETCM closer to the hearts of consumers by engaging them with a series of “I’m Nissan Crazy” advertisements, online games, contests and events.

It started out with an innocent question to Nissan owners, “How crazy are you for your Nissan?” The stories were endless, overwhelming, and most importantly an original Nissan story. It is through their own unique stories, expressed with great honesty that reveal such unequalled passion for their Nissan cars. This led us to embark on our “I’m Nissan Crazy” campaign.

Some Nissan’s I’m crazy about…

CH@Dbee Photography

Chad Burdette aka CH@Dbee on the forums is an up and coming automotive photographer that has really been stepping up his game lately! Chad’s work with his automotive rig, off camera lighting, and his editing has been consistently improving, and to top it off so have the cars he has been shooting.

Chad stated on his about page of his website
“I love capturing a moment or beautiful object forever with the power of photography but tweaking it my own way.”

I believe all photographers strive to create their own personal style, something that people recognize without seeing a signature on a photo, or “Photo By: xxxx” in the text. Well I chose to feature Chad’s work today because I think in a day and age where everyone and their mom has a DSLR, he stands out with his own unique style!

See how this image of the flat black Evo is the result of 5 different shots being stitched together… Check it out on Chad’s Blog!

R35 GTR on new Volk TE37 G2’s

csmith’s 8thgen Civic Si on 18×9 +28 CCW Classic’s w/ Neo Chro hardware. Waiting on some updated pics of this car w/ it’s new ’09 front bumper and no toe hooks!

Another R35 GTR this one on Gloss Black Volk RE30’s… lovin’ this shot and the murdered out look! It’s not easy shooting a black car like this on black wheels, usually the wheels are lost in the shadows but Chad did a great job!

A rig shot of the red R35 above…

And I belive this is Ryan from Forged’ Graphite Grey Evo MR.

I hope you enjoyed Chad’s work, I’m confident there will be MUCH more to come. Be sure to check out more of his work on his site where you can find Wallpapers of some of the shots I posted above!

Wrapped GTR's!

I have always been jealous of the exotic European cars one of my contacts on Flickr (deanphoto.co.uk) shoots and the amazing photos he takes! Well recently he has me drooling over his shots a few R35 GTR’s with some unique vinyl wrapped finishes by RaceSkins. It seems that over the past couple of years it has become more and more popular to vinyl wrap an entire car to change the color or promote a company. Although it can be pricey from what I understand, it’s less expensive then a full respray/color change, and most importantly it’s not permanent!

3 wrapped R35’s. 1 Matte black, 1 matte white, 1 Chrome Tuned by HCC Motorsport & Wrapped by RaceSkins
